“By working with whole school staff we have created a better understanding of the time and personal commitment of our talented students, enabling them to have a better relationship with staff which in turn is helping them to reach their potential in their sport and their academic studies.”
The JAE Life-skills Workshops focus on six aspects of performance lifestyle management: performance improvement, goal setting, time management, team YOU, communication and planning. The aim is to empower young talented performers with the skills needed to balance the conflicting challenges of their sport, studies and life. There is also a Performance Parent Workshop designed to give parents/carers an opportunity to ask questions, learn from case studies and be part of team YOU, and to learn how to help pupils manage their time and resources more effectively.
The multimedia workshops are for Key Stage 3 pupils and are delivered by JAE Trained teachers to Gifted and Talented performers in PE.
