The Talentmatters website aims to provide Physical Education (PE) and sport practitioners, and academics, with information to support the development of children identified as talented in curricular PE and sport.
The site features many of the findings and resources produced by the talent development research team directed by Dave Morley (Carnegie Faculty of Sport & Education).
'Talentmatters' contains a variety of content including an interactive section on 'Quality Standards' for talent development in Physical Education, featuring a scoping facility enabling PE departments to profile their own practices and create an accurate report online. The site highlights a variety of talent development strategies currently employed by schools. It also acts as the conduit for current news relating to research activities and talent development events.
The PE talent development project, as outlined on the talentmatters website, is part of the national 'Physical Education, School Sport and Club Links' (PESSCL) strategy.
