Dave Morley, Director

Dave Morley has experienced teaching PE in a number of secondary schools for nearly ten years and has also been employed as a director of a football academy. He is also a member of the authoring team responsible for developing resources for national Multi-skill clubs and is the founder and director of the Regional Multi-skill Camp held annually at Leeds Met Carnegie. His research activities and interests include being director of the ‘Meeting Special Needs in Physical Education’ project (DCSF), and various other LEA projects related to talent in PE. Dave is currently a consultant for numerous educational organisations and is course leader for the APD/PD Educational Development - Inclusive PE, and a level leader on the BAPE (QTS) course at Leeds Met Carnegie.

 

Richard Bailey, Principal Research Consultant

Richard Bailey is a Professor of Pedagogy at Froebel College, Roehampton University in London. He is a member of the executive board of the International Council for Sport Science and Physical Education, a member of the executive board of the Society for Educational Studies, and a trustee of the Council for the Advancement of Arts, Recreation and Education. Richard is the author of numerous books and papers, on different aspects of education and child development. Recent examples are Supporting Physical Development in the Early Years (Open University Press) and Education in the Open Society (Ashgate).

 

Richard Tremere, Research Coordinator

Prior to joining the talent development team, Richard experienced a variety of teaching and coaching roles in PE and sport. Richard now specialises in the development of educational resources, working with schools and practitioners nationwide. Alongside this work, he is also a part-time lecturer at Leeds Metropolitan University, delivering on talent related modules including ‘Inclusive PE’ and ‘Multi-skills’. Recently Richard worked with a range of National Performance Directors and specialist teachers to coordinate Regional Multi-skills camps for talented pupils in PE and sport.

 

Scott Mackenzie, Multimedia Designer

Scott has designed, developed and delivered the first nationally recognised qualification in computer assembly, repairs and maintenance: (http://www.bteccomputerengineering.co.uk/). Scott is a key member of the Talent Matters team, applying his skills in multimedia design to produce interactive CD-ROMS and web-based educational resources.
